Thank you for putting on that art Workshop.
It was my 1st time and I was self-conscious and nervous. Once you made it clear that it wasn't going to be a technical class and it was just to learn how to relax with something in your hand, I relaxed.  It turned out to be more fun than anything and I got a lot out of it! For me, the whole point wasn't really about the art.  Rather, it was about taking a chance on something completely foreign and scary to me.  I tend to be a procrastinator and a perfectionist.  My time with Jackie helped me to realize that it is most important to START -- especially with a new, big or scary project.  And, it is important to FINISH -- whether or not I think the job is "done" or "good enough".  Jackie also helped me to realize that it is important to simply jump into the work, and see it thru to a timely conclusion.

In 2014 I commissioned Jackie to sketch a drawing of a picture of my sons. It was intended to be a gift to our older son in remembrance of his younger brother who had passed away a few years prior. We only had a 4 x 6 picture that we could give to Jackie to work from, but I was very impressed by the amount of detail in the sketch. She brought the picture to life and gave us back a wonderful memory. She was very thoughtful and considerate in wanting some additional info on our boys so that she could understand their personalities and their close relationship.
